At the beginning of the last century, Delaware was a bustling community. The hiss and chug of steam locomotives pulling into the station mingled with the steady clip-clop and clatter of horsedrawn carriages.

Many of the buildings from the beginning of the last century and earlier still stand as a tribute to Delaware's pride in tradition and desire to preserve our heritage.

One such building is the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home at 92 North Sandusky Street.

What is now known as The Rodman Neeper Funeral Home was started in 1906 by C. W. Morrison and his son Arthur.

In 1955, a second Rodman Neeper Funeral Home was added in the town of Ashley at 307 East Hight Street to serve the community needs in the Northern reaches of Delaware County.

In March of 2006, Rodman Neeper built a new Funeral Home at 1510 West William Street in Delaware. The new home encompasses much of the historic feel of the original home, but also incorporates the latest cutting edge in technology for sound and video systems. These systems are designed to complement and enhance memorial services.
