George and Mike photo

George Rodman (pictured on the left), funeral director and owner, is a lifelong Delaware County resident. He graduated from the Kentucky College of Mortuary Science in 1978. George is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and preneed counselor.

He began his career at Bennett Brown Funeral Home working part-time in 1973 (he began working full time at the funeral home in 1979); purchased Glenn Bennett’s interest in the business in 1986, and by 1993 was sole owner of the funeral home.

Over the years, George has acquired a reputation for being progressive and innovative. He is one of the founding members of the Ohio Crematory Operators Association. Rodman Funeral Home is the only funeral home in Delaware to have and operate a crematory within the facility. We were the first funeral home to have City & ADA approved handicap access to the front door, offer memorial videos, personalize memorial folders & candles with pictures, offer online obituaries & condolences via our website, offer grief counseling material, and many other "firsts."

George has two children Ross and Rachel. His wife Lori works in various capacities at the funeral home, including the decorating, bookkeeping. George is an active member of the Elks BPOE #76, Moose 1167, Hiram Masonic Lodge #18 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, having served as the Delaware County Scottish Rite Secretary for many years,

Delaware Shrine Club, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, National Crematory Operators Association, and the Radnor Baptist Church, where he has served as past Deacon and Sunday School teacher.

His interests include fishing, antique automobiles, and tractors.

Mike Neeper (pictured on the right) is a co-owner of the funeral home and has been here since 1994. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, preneed counselor, and handles monument orders. He graduated from Lima Central Catholic in 1987 and went on to graduate from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

Always sympathetic to the pain caused by the loss of a loved one, Mike focuses on meeting the needs of the family. One of his top priorities in caring for his families is shielding them from unnecessary pressures. Even if a family has unusual circumstances, Mike will handle all the details, giving the family the space they need to begin the healing process.

Mike has become the funeral home's monument expert, with his experience enabling him to provide monuments at the lowest possible price. Working with multiple design groups, he can also offer options to families that they hadn't considered or that are not available elsewhere.

Mike has three children, Jordan, Christian and Quinn. His wife, Lora also serves as our in-house floral designer. Mike is an active member of Delaware BPOE #76 and a 4th degree member of The Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he currently serves on the School Advisory Board.

Mike's hobbies include golf, softball, basketball and spending quality time with family and friends.
